Biblical Unitarianism
Bible-based groups that confess the Father alone as the one God and Jesus as the human Son, including Christadelphians and the Church of God General Conference. This is not Unitarian Universalism.
Biblical Unitarianism on this shelf is the confession that the Father alone is the one God and that Jesus is the human Son. It is not Unitarian Universalism. That association’s covenant embraces teachings from many religions and does not require this confession, or any creed that Jesus is God.
The Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith says the only true God is the one Father. The Church of God General Conference says there is only one God, the Father alone, and that Jesus came into existence at his conception. Restoration Fellowship starts from the creed Jesus names in Mark 12:28–29.
What Is Biblical Unitarianism? quotes those statements. Does 1 Corinthians 8:6 Mean Only the Father Is God? is the verse they put beside the Shema. Common Arguments lists the claims that come up in this conversation. Christians confess that Jesus is God, and that the one God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. What vs. Who: One Being, Three Persons is that distinction: one being, three persons.

Common Arguments and Objections
Claims that come up in this conversation, with the article that walks through each one.
- Biblical Unitarianism confesses that the Father alone is the one God and that Jesus began when he was conceived.
Christadelphians and the Church of God General Conference print that confession. The creed of 381 says the Son is true God from true God, begotten not made.
- 1 Corinthians 8:6 means only the Father is God, and Jesus is Lord but not God.
The same verse calls Jesus the one Lord through whom are all things, the same all things that are from the Father. Jude 4 puts only Master and Lord on Jesus.
- Jesus has a God, so he is not God.
John 20:17 has the risen Jesus call the Father my God. Hebrews 1:8–9 has the Father call the Son God, and then speak of the Son’s God.
- Acts 2:36 says God made Jesus Lord, so lordship was given to a man who was not God.
Psalm 110:1 is the LORD speaking to David’s lord, and Peter quotes that line of Jesus before he says God made him Lord and Christ. Hebrews 1:8 has the Father address the Son as God.
