Privacy and Cookies
This page describes what Apologetics Wiki stores in your browser and what analytics it uses. Reading the site needs no account.
Analytics
Apologetics Wiki uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. The tag is loaded by Cloudflare Zaraz, not by a Google script in the page. Zaraz is set to hide your IP address from Google. Advertising features are not used.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Brazil, or your country cannot be determined, analytics stays off until you choose Accept Analytics in the banner.
- Elsewhere, analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time.
Your country is read from Cloudflare’s /cdn-cgi/trace response in your browser. It is not stored.
What Is Stored in Your Browser
aw_cookie_consent(local storage): your analytics choice, its version, and the date.zaraz-consent(cookie): the same choice, as Cloudflare Zaraz reads it.- Google Analytics cookies such as
_ga, only after analytics is allowed. - Accessibility settings (text size, theme, reading aids), in local storage and a cookie of the same name, so the page renders with your settings. They are not used for tracking.
aw_oauth(cookie, 15 minutes): set only while you sign in to connect an MCP client.
Change Your Choice
The same control is in the footer of every page. Clearing your browser’s site data also resets the choice.
Forms
The accessibility report form and sign-in use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. Turnstile loads only on pages with those forms.
