# 3 Enoch (Hebrew Enoch) 28:1

**Not Scripture.** Read [Why](https://apologetics.wiki/non-canonical/3-enoch#research-notice) and [the Issues With This Book](https://apologetics.wiki/non-canonical/3-enoch#issues-with-this-book).

R. Ishmael said: Metatron, the Angel, the Prince of the Presence, said to me: Above all these there are four great princes, ‘Irin and Qaddishin by name: high, honoured, revered, beloved, wonderful and glorious ones, greater than all the children of heaven. ‘There is none like unto them among all the celestial princes and none their equal among all the Servants. For each one of them is equal to all the rest together.

Not received as Scripture by the Jewish canon or by the major Christian churches, apart from local exceptions such as the Ethiopian Orthodox canon, which includes 1 Enoch and Jubilees. This is not the Apocrypha.
