# 3 Enoch (Hebrew Enoch) 12:5

**Venerating Angels or Other Created Things.** Chapters 3–15 tell Enoch transformed into Metatron, enthroned and called “the Lesser YHWH” in chapter 12. And He called me THE LESSER YHWH in the presence of all His heavenly household; as it is written (Ex. xxiii. 21): “For my name is in him”.

Not received as Scripture by the Jewish canon or by the major Christian churches, apart from local exceptions such as the Ethiopian Orthodox canon, which includes 1 Enoch and Jubilees. This is not the Apocrypha.
