# Secrets of Enoch (2 Enoch, Slavonic Enoch) 42:2

**Not Scripture.** Read [Why](https://apologetics.wiki/non-canonical/2-enoch#research-notice) and [the Issues With This Book](https://apologetics.wiki/non-canonical/2-enoch#issues-with-this-book).

And I said before their faces, ‘Would that I had not seen you, nor heard of your doings, and that those of my race had never come to you! Now they have only sinned a little in this life, and always suffer in the eternal life.’

Not received as Scripture by the Jewish canon or by the major Christian churches, apart from local exceptions such as the Ethiopian Orthodox canon, which includes 1 Enoch and Jubilees. This is not the Apocrypha.
