# Secrets of Enoch (2 Enoch, Slavonic Enoch) 39:4

**Not Scripture.** Read [Why](https://apologetics.wiki/non-canonical/2-enoch#research-notice) and [the Issues With This Book](https://apologetics.wiki/non-canonical/2-enoch#issues-with-this-book).

Look at the eyes of me, a man laden with a sign for you. I have seen the eyes of the Lord shining like a ray of the sun and striking with terror human eyes.

Not received as Scripture by the Jewish canon or by the major Christian churches, apart from local exceptions such as the Ethiopian Orthodox canon, which includes 1 Enoch and Jubilees. This is not the Apocrypha.
