# Secrets of Enoch (2 Enoch, Slavonic Enoch) 27:4

And I separated between the light and the darkness; that is to say, between the waters here and there. And I said to the light: ‘Let it be day’; and to the darkness, ‘Let it be night.’ And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Not received as Scripture by the Jewish canon or by the major Christian churches, apart from local exceptions such as the Ethiopian Orthodox canon, which includes 1 Enoch and Jubilees. This is not the Apocrypha.
