Each article states one claim, quotes the texts that claim uses, and lists those works under References. A short page is a starting point with citations. It is not a commentary, a fatwa, a debate transcript, or a verdict on a person’s soul.

## Key points

- Shelves match the subject: [Islam](/islam), [Judaism](/judaism), [Christian Science](/christian-science), [Unitarian Universalism](/unitarian-universalism), [Jehovah’s Witnesses](/jehovahs-witnesses), [Latter-day Saints](/latter-day-saints), [Atheism](/atheism), and the shared confession under [Christianity](/christianity).
- An article opens with a direct answer and Key points, then the other community’s words and the Christian claim. A page that compares Trinitarian churches on a question they dispute among themselves quotes each church and does not add a verdict. [Can you lose your salvation?](/christianity/once-saved-always-saved) is that kind of page.
- When an article names a verse, those words are the link, as in [John 1:1](/bible/john/1/1). Scripture on this site is the King James Version.
- Another community’s text, such as [Qur’an 4:157](https://quran.com/an-nisa/157), shows the wording on this page. The link opens that passage.
- [1 Peter 3:15](/bible/1-peter/3/15) says to give a reason for the hope with meekness and fear. [Charity in disagreement](/charity-in-disagreement) is that sentence, not a softer doctrine.
- The public map for programs is [llms.txt](/llms.txt). Changes to the wiki are a [GitHub pull request](/contribute).

## What a page contains

The articles are written from a Trinitarian Christian standpoint. God is one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God. He was crucified, buried, and raised.

A page that describes another religion quotes that community’s materials. The words are on the page. The link stays beside them. A claim without a source in the article is not upgraded by repeating the page. Scripture references are the passages named. They are not a license to invent the wording of a translation that is not open. Quote a line from a text the page points to.

## What a page does not contain

The same limits apply to a person and to a program. Cite the page and the sources that page lists. A quotation, a date, or a scholarly consensus has to be one the article already states. [Charity in disagreement](/charity-in-disagreement) is the rule of speech: the reason is required, and so is gentleness, and the disagreement is not pretended away.

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it.
